Perfect Image Wins Top Honors at 2023 PIAG Print Competition

MARIETTA, Ga., Aug. 23, 2023 – Perfect Image, the full-service commercial printer and marketing support provider in Marietta, Georgia, won Best of Show and several more top awards at the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) 2023 Print Excellence Competition. Awards were presented on August 10 at the PIAG imPRESS Celebration of Print at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina.

Beyond winning Best of Show, Perfect Image received a Best of Division award, Top Gold for Best Annual Report, Top Gold for Best Catalog, Top Gold for Best Booklet, and a Top Notch award for receiving the greatest number of Best of Category awards in its division. The competition was open to print and graphic communications organizations across Georgia for entries produced in 2022.

The competition was judged by organization size within the following divisions:
Division 1: 1 - 9 employees
Division 2: 10 - 25 employees
Division 3: 26 - 50 employees
Division 4: 51+ employees
Division 5: Schools

Best of Show!

morehouse-impact.jpgPerfect Image won the prestigious Best of Show award for producing “IMPACT” for Morehouse School of Medicine. This case statement was printed using high-end offset lithography, generating superior-quality print with maximum high-resolution images, solid coverage and color matching, and the use of specialty papers and finishes. Judges select one entry from the five Best of Division winners to be the most outstanding entry in the entire competition.

Best of Division Awards

Division 2 Winner: One entry from each division is singled out as the Best of Division piece, deemed by judges to be the finest and most skillfully produced in its division. Perfect Image won Best of Division 2 for producing the MSM IMPACT piece shown above.

Top Notch Award: Within each division, Top Notch Awards are given to the organization that receives the greatest number of Best of Category awards in their division with a minimum of 10 entries. The Division 2 Top Notch award went to Perfect Image, a prestigious honor reflecting overall excellence in the application of various printing processes.

3 Top Gold Awards

The competition defined several categories to select the very best examples across all divisions, in which judging was based on results, innovation, creativity, and execution achieved through print. Categories included Best Annual Report, Best Digital Printing, Best Book, Best Invitation/Program, Best Magazine, Best Catalog, Best Brochure, Best Finishing, Best Design, Best Use of Color, Best Booklet, Best Calendar, Most Imaginative, and Judge’s Choice.
